Punk Me Tender Stay Wild Moon Child

Punk Me Tender Stay Wild Moon Child is a Photograph on plywood covered with epoxy resin with real exotic butterflies, and acrylic paint in a Plexiglas Box.  This artwork is titled on the front with spraypaint, as well as titled and dated on the back.

Born in France on September 4th, 1982, the artist came to Los Angeles to pursue his dreams. Whether it is art in the form of graffiti, a mural, or photography, his works are always a surprise and unexpected. Like many artists, Punk Me Tender doesn’t have a strategy for his art. He only acts based on instinct and doesn’t follow any rules. Much of his photography has themes of sensuality and wanting. His murals show women in varied color schemes and are a sensation.  His mixed media pieces utilize black and white photography, bright splashes of pinks and blues, and incorporate real pieces of clothing. The artist maintains that a mix of graffiti and fabric is an original approach that never fails to intrigue and captivate the viewer.

The mysterious artist Punk Me Tender is known for his very graphic, raw form of art. Inspired by women, fashion, and style, his art offers a new look on the female body, claiming that desire is the biggest drive in everybody’s soul.

His identity is kept secret in order to maintain freedom and express himself as he desires. When interviewed he uses a surrogate, such as a model, to speak for him. The artist sees women as heroes and has a deep passion for them. September 2017, Punk Me Tender had his extravagant first solo show in Los Angeles at the historical Beckett mansion.

1.  You are originally from Paris, why did you choose to move to Los Angeles?  To follow my dreams in the city of angels.

2.  Why so anonymous? In a world where everyone wants to be famous?  Anonymity is a luxury when your work becomes famous. It’s a piece of mind.

3.  How did you choose the name PUNK ME TENDER?  I think “love me tender” is genius and I like to go around the rules. My philosophy is RESPECT first then FUCK the rules.

4.  How long have you been making art and how did it all start?  I started to paint shortly after I got my own apartment at seventeen years old.  My mother and grandmother are both painters so I always witnessed art especially with my grandmother since my mother cut all contact with me when I was eleven.  So painting was a form of therapy and it came naturally to express my emotions.
